There are two parts to the theory test and pupils with Roger Moore get help with both!
The first part is a multi choice test, carried out on a touch screen computer. There are a total of 50 questions from the official question bank of over 900 questions, and the pass mark is 43 out of 50 or 86%. Each question has one or more correct answers and if there is more than one, you must select all the correct answers to score for that question.
After the question part of the test has finished, the hazard perception part of the test begins. You will be shown 14 clips of film with a total of 15 hazards that you need to identify by clicking the mouse button. The soring hazards are the "developing hazards" - effectively ones that would require you to take some action. You can score a maximum of 5 points per scoring hazard and the overall passmark is 44 out of 75.
At the end of the test, you will be informed whether you have passed and if you are succesful will be given your pass certificate. You have to pass both parts at the same time to achieve a pass.
If you have any questions about the theory test, we are happy to help and will give you all the help and support you need to enable you to pass first time.
